He still loves me after a full year. Thats a big deal.

May is almost over, and it has been the greatest start to summer.

I started the first week of summer with a trip to chicago with the interior design program at usu. It was the greatest experience, i loved it.

It was a good trip:

Our first stop was the frederick meijer sculpture gardens in Grand Rapids, MI. It was so neat. It had tons of crazy sculptures and a way cute garden area. This is the whole group in front of a giant horse.

 We went to herman miller headquarters.. which was so GREAT. We went to 3 different headquarters and this was one of the most interesting to me because we got to see...

original drawings of the eames chairs.. and coconut chair.. It was crazy that we got to see them. I tell you what.. my mind.. blown. I was like.. are they ACTUALLY showing these.. to me? right now?

Then we went to Haworth headquarters. They had a green roof that went all the way to the ground. saweeet.

Ok next we went to the Meyer May house. which was designed by architect Frank LLoyd Wright.

And then we finally made it to chicago.

Chicago is such an amazing city. I think its just the right amount of a big city. Its still green, but still so much to do. PERFECT.

Frank LLoyd Wright has a ton of houses in Chicago. We went to the robie house, his home and studio, unity temple and saw a whole bunch of other homes he designed.

 On the last night in chicago, we randomly decided to go to the blue man group. They were so strange, but so entertaining. I think I just laughed the whole time. Just look at him, hilarious.

We actually did way more than this, and i am aware this was an overload of nerdy pictures.. but too bad.  

Ok, and really quick.

So after sophomore year in the interior design program they have to cut a few more people to go on to junior year. There was 24 of us in the program.. and I think they only cut a few this year.. but I am so grateful, scared, and happy to announce I made the cut! I will be going on and finishing the last 2 years in the interior design program. Its such a tough program.. and i am so grateful that I finally get to be doing what I love! I am so passionate about it and I am so glad I ended up where I am. Even if it means i'll go to school for a total of 6 years.. I love it. And its worth it to me. :)

HOW EMBARASSING.
I thought I could do this whole blogging thing, and I haven't blogged since December.
That was 4 months ago.

Oooops.

SO. The main reason I neglect this blog is because of SCHOOL. It keeps me pretty busy and keeps me pretty CRAZAY.
But, I would like to announce I have completed my sophomore year in the design program. I had a few major breakdowns and survived with just a few minor breakdowns. Sorry peeps. (sorry professors and fellow classmates that had to deal with that...) :) But it was an adventure and I have already learned so much. I love it.

Todd has been so great these past couple weeks to deal with an emotionally unstable, crazy wife, who hasn't cooked or cleaned or done laundry. And I come rolling in at about 2 AM from doing projects at the studio every night. And when i come home I kiss him goodnight which always gives him a heart attack every time. What a trooper.

SO thats enough writing.. But I am going to chicago this sunday with the interior design program and I can't WAIT. It will be a perfect start to summer.

We went to ST george with todds family for spring break. It was so great.

We got a grill. Burgers.. get in my bellay.

 We threw a shower for Lindsay who is getting married in a month! So excited.

And.. the most exciting thing right now is I bought a new bike! I plan on wheelin to work and going around town with it. Its beautiful. And so is logan in the summer.

Confession: I rode it to work the other day and smiled the whole time because i was so content. 

Anyways, I'll start to blog better now that summer is here which means I am an all around happier person. HOORAY!

Merry Christmas!

This really is the most.. wonderful time.. of the year! I love it. I love the snow. (If we could get more than 2 inches) I love snuggling up with my love inside. I love being with my amazing family. I love having a break from school and relax and sleep in until 10. I love hot chocolate. I love christmas music. (especially this year.. i felt like there were some great ones!) I love christmas candy (peppermint kisses and chocolate oranges.) YUM. I love giving... and okay, i love getting spoiled rotten! :)

Surrrprise.

So right now I am sitting in the studio.. Not facing my tiny house. Literally. I turned my back to it because I do not want to look at it anymore. I'm done with it. But really i'm not. I wonder how that will feel when i'm done with it? Probably AWESOME.

but annnnyways.
This friday I don't have school so me and todd were planning on getting out of Logan. Sometimes that just needs to happen. I love you logan, but we need a break.
We were thinking of going to salt lake and visiting my parents in kay-town.. But last night todd pulled a smooooth move on me.
He told me to check my email last night because he sent me an email. Don't worry.. We don't normally communicate through email.
but he emailed me a flight itinerary and it took me like 5 minutes to figure out but.. we are going to new york and boston this weekend!
He is the best. husband. ever. Seriously. I love him and I can't wait for our little getaway! so.. SEE YA.

two long weeks..

So this is kind of old news, but I have an hour break until my next class and I need something to do. Sooo..
Last week todd got home from a 2 week work trip. Worst 2 weeks.. ever. Worse time i've had like in a long time. But I learned a couple things..
1. I love todd. Probably too much. Its getting close to that creepy wife stage where I barely can do anything with out him here. OK.. thats an exaggeration but I hate him being gone.

2. Sometimes ceiling lights will fall from my ceiling for no reason at all.. and the only explanation is a ghost was for sure in my room. P.s. I am suuch a wuss sleeping by myself when todd leaves. Scared of ghosts, scared of the boogeyman, scared of josh powell coming to find me.. etc.

3. Trips to Germany have their benefits.. aka the best chocolate in the whole world. Seriously.. If anyone goes there bring me back some of this stuff:

It is seriously soo delicious.

Anyways.
So school is about to give me a minor heart attack, brain tumor, migraine, panic attack, etc.. Feeling a little stressed and WAY unprepared for whats to come. So to deal with the stress I, of course, turned to pinterest to motivate me.

Trying something new and trying to STAY POSITIVE about everything. Haha! It is always comforting to know that I will get through even the toughest things in life. So grateful for my number 1 supporter and my best friend!

Updates!

So it happened, We got married! I knew all you people out there.. (all 8 of you) were wondering if we got married. Well, we did! And here is proof.

We haven't really been up to much, just enjoying the last days of summer before school starts. But i'm only taking 10 credits so i really can't complain about school.

But here are some updates with us:

I got a library card (COOL) and started reading The Book Thief. Suuuuch a good book. Start reading it now.

We went to bear lake with my fam. 4 wheeled and went to the lake. P.s. Its so lame that all of bear lake's beaches are now "private". seriously.. so lame. Please share the love.

 We rented a cabin in bear lake for my dads 50th.

Some other updates are that:

Our neighbors across our apartment had 10 cops at their house and todd saw them getting arrested. comforting.

Todd has tried (and has done a pretty good job) becoming friends with everyone in our apartment complex and in our ward. He is so great. And he remembers everyones name which I am so bad at. Seriously. I meet someone and then 10 seconds later, gone.

We got our first calling. Cub scouts. Haha good luck to us.

I had my first cooking failure. I tried making cream cheese filled snickerdoodles. Sounds amazing right? DONT make them. They are way more time consuming then you think. It will result in you yelling "this is stuuuuupid!!!" And todd just looking at you blankly and saying "how can I help?" haha i love him.

Todd had to get used to my shopping habits realllly quick and I had to explain to him why it is OK that I bought 2 purses in 1 month.

Also, I'm obsessed with pinterest. 

Go there. Or don't. Because you'll become addicted. And you'll just pin pin pin alllll. day. long. :/
